Most traditional therapies focus on “Talk Therapy” as a cure. In my experience, talking through problems and issues can be helpful, but maybe only 10%, and the effects don’t last. I saw this happening in the beginning of my career. I was not satisfied with the results my clients were having. The desire to be helpful and effective, resulted in me seeking out different approaches to treating and healing people. In my quest to find what really helps people create change; I found, what I believe is the most effective, comprehensive and lasting way to help people take control of their lives back and experience greater happiness and peace.
Because everyone is unique, I tailor my approach to meet the individual needs of the client. I begin with getting to know you. I am interested in understanding how you see the world, what is important to you, what you want to accomplish by attending therapy, and together we set out on a mission to create change in your life. Establishing a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of how I work. When there is a solid connection between client and therapist, change becomes easy and exciting!
I utilize a Holistic approach in working with clients. It is a way of treating a client that is integrative in nature and focuses on the relationship between mind, body and spirit. The focus of therapy is on creating balance and wellness. Together, we will explore methods and techniques which support happiness and inner peace that comes from living a life in harmony.
I believe that people have innate healing powers. I work collaboratively with my clients to create the best environment where they feel safe and secure to explore themselves. I feel that the process of therapy is a balance between growth and acceptance of who we are. Being able to determine what we want to change about ourselves and getting to know who we really are is essential to making decisions that are right for you. Empowering people to take charge of their lives and not being prisoners of their past or fearful of the future is the best place to be. Learning to live in the present moment is essential to peace of mind and contentment.
